In the flow

I’ve not written a blog in a while so here’s an update...

Firstly, I’ve recently added the newly finished ‘A Royal view from Edrich Stand’ to my online shop: www.freyaryder.com/shop. I was kindly donated a number of old cricket bats on which to paint. This is the first painting that I’ve done on an actual cricket bat. It’s inspired by my trip to Lord’s to watch the Quarterfinal of the Royal One Day Cup in May. It was a brilliant game filled with drama and this bat was a joy to paint. As this summer marks a massive year for English cricket, I’m sure that I won’t be short of inspiration for a few more.

Moreover, I have had 4 pieces selected for Exhibit Here’s Art Maze Art Exhibition, which is being held at the Bargehouse at Oxo Tower London. I will share further details of this closer to the time. I am thrilled to be a part of this exhibition, especially as it’s located in one of my favourite parts of London. 'By Universal Invitation' is one of the pieces that has been selected. It is part of a festival series, composed of 'Journey into thunderstruck skies', 'Bonfire Hearts' and 'By Universal Invitation'. 'Bonfire Hearts' sold in April 2019.
