'The Champions'

I've spent the last few months working on commissions. I'm delighted to be fully booked with commissions until February 2022. This means that I have plenty of projects in the pipeline.

Last week, I completed my latest painting 'The Champions'. It is a mixed media piece that commemorates Lancashire's County Championship win in 2011 and has been produced on behalf of the Lancashire Cricket Foundation.

Lancashire Cricket Club will be auctioning the painting at a Members' event on Monday 1st November to raise funds for the Foundation. It's been a delight to produce, although painting so many faces did have its stressful moments. I consider 'The Champions' as one of my greatest artistic challenges so I can't wait to see it head off to its new home.

In the meantime, another commission piece has settled into its new home. A portrait of the England Cricket Captain, Joe Root. This was commissioned for an 18th birthday. And to receive such lovely feedback to say that the recipient "absolutely loved it", was incredible.
